'My father was a hustler, A drug dealer': Sean 'Diddy' Combs opens up for the first time on camera

Sean 'Diddy' Combs opened up for the first time on Wednesday about his father(pictured right with Diddy as a kid) who was killed when he was just an infant.

A known associate of convicted drug dealer Frank Lucas, Melvin Combs was shot dead while sitting in his car in New York City at the age of 33 - something the hip-hop mogul made the decision not to publicly talk about until now.

'My father was killed when I was 3 yrs old. we never got to share the moments that made me a man today..but he lives in my spirit..now I'm ready to tell the story YOUTUBE.COM/REVOLTTV #MelvinsSon,' Diddy posted on Twitter, with a link to his new music television project, Revolt TV.

 In the intimate video titled 'Confessions', the 43-year-old sits down in his New York City apartment at 5.47am to talk about the father he barely knew yet still managed to shape him.

'Being that my father was killed when I was three years old, I don't have a lot of memories of my father,' he begins.

'They say you can't miss something you never had, but that's only a little ways right. There's definitely been times as I've gotten older that I've missed my father - his presence - not being here... There's things that you would ask your father. There's also things that you would celebrate with him that would make him proud.'

Referring to Melvin as a 'hustler', the successful entrepreneur and businessman cites his father's shortcomings as the inspiration to really make something of his own life.

Denmark, ranked the happiest country in the world

Last month, Denmark was crowned the happiest country in the world.

“The top countries generally rank higher in all six of the key factors identified in the World Happiness Report,” wrote University of British Columbia economics professor John Helliwell, one of the report's contributing authors. 

The six factors for a happy nation include: A large GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy at birth, a lack of corruption in leadership, a sense of social support for individuals, freedom to make life choices and a culture of generosity.

“Together, these six factors explain three quarters of differences in life evaluations across hundreds of countries and over the years.”

Anti-corrupt crusaders and opposition politicians, on Thursday expressed outrage over the purchase of two BMW armoured vehicles for the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, for N225 million by an agency under her supervision.

Special Assistant to the Minister on media, Joe Obi, in a media interview confirmed the vehicles were purchased for her principal to protect her from “imminent threats.”

She was reported to have compelled the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, to buy the vehicles for her. Continue....

Renowned Saudi Arabian Preacher Gets 8-Year Jail Term For Raping & Killing 5 Year-Old Daughter

An ultraconservative Muslim preacher in Saudi Arabia was sentenced to eight years in prison and 800 lashes for raping and beating his five-year-old daughter to death, official media said Tuesday. Fayhan al-Ghamdi, who often preached on television, was convicted of beating his daughter Lama with canes, burning her with electrical cables, crushing her skull and tearing off her nails. She was also raped repeatedly and died months later in a Saudi hospital.

The kingdom follows a strict interpretation of Islam under which murder, drug trafficking, rape and armed robbery are capital crimes, with execution mostly by firing squad. The case of Lama caused a public outcry and brought to light sensitive issues surrounding the ambiguity of punishment for Saudi fathers found guilty of murdering their own children.

  

Much less serious crimes often receive heavier punishment. Earlier this week, a Saudi court gave four young men sentences of between three to 10 years prison and 500 to 2,000 lashes for dancing naked in public in the city of Buraydah, north of Riyadh.

Surviving Lagos Plane crash air hostess,Queenette Owolabi's 10 toes & 5 fingers to be amputated

Unless a miracle happens, or the Federal Government urgently intervenes to fly Mrs Queeneth Owolabi abroad for treatment, she would have her toes and fingers amputated due to gangrene infection. Mrs Owolabi is one of the surviving cabin crew members on the ill-fated Associated Airlines plane that crashed in Lagos two weeks ago.

But for her husband’s resistance, the amputation would have been done yesterday at the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, base hospital in Ikeja, where she had been hospitalised since the crash. Mrs. Owolabi survived the crash alongside six others, although two of the survivors later died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH.

In fairness Snoop has apparently only changed his name for one upcoming album, a collaborative project called 7 Days of Funk with groovester Dam Funk. He was apparently 

inspired by funk's bass wizard, Bootsy Collins, who sometimes calls himself "Bootzilla".

Only last year he changed his name to Snoop Lion after converting to rastafarianism. The resulting album, Reincarnated, was released to mixed reviews.

Leron Boye Murders Nigerian Kevin Chibueze And Escapes Mental Heath Centre 10 Months Into His Life Sentence

A convicted murderer who was jailed for life for stabbing a teenager to death has escaped from a mental health centre. Lerone Michael Boye ran away from the John Howard Centre in Kenworthy Road, Homerton, east London, at about 2pm on the 16th of October

Boye, 27, was sentenced to life last December for the murder of Kelvin Chibueze- A Nigerian and told he must serve a minimum of 28 years.His 17-year-old victim was fatally stabbed at the Arteflex Club in Ilford High Road, east London, on August 15 2011.

He was chased out of a birthday party and attacked with glass and broken bottles. Boye's three co-accused are also serving life sentences.

Boye is described as black, about 5ft 10in and of slim build with short black hair and a goatee beard.He has a horseshoe-shaped scar on his right cheek.He was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey or blue sweatshirt with a grey vest over the top.He is known to have links to the Ilford area.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach him but call 999.Anyone with any information about Boye's whereabouts can also call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Dino Melaye Attacks Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah Over Her two N255m Armoured Car Purchases

UPDATE ON ALUU 4: Four Suspects Granted Bail Today

A high court sitting in Port Harcourt this morning October 17th granted bail to four out of the twelve persons facing trail in the murder case of the four Uniport students. The four are: Omoikiri Aluu monarch: Alhaji Welewa, Okoghiroh Endurance, Ozioma Abajuo and Chigozie Evans Samuel.

Presiding Judge, Justice Letan Nyordee granted them bail on grounds that their offense is not a capital offense and is bailable. They were granted bail to the tune of N2 million with two sureties and the court asked the sureties to submit their passports. The sureties mus also have landed property in Port Harcourt and must show means of livelihood and evidence of paying tax for two years. The other eight suspects were refused bail due to the murder charges against them.

The court also admitted the photographs negatives and the Youtube CD of the incident tendered as exhibits in the matter.

Harvard founder the Reverend Dr Tina Beloveth Powerful said she named the UK school after her grandfather.She said she was prepared to change the name but needed £2m to cover money spent so far on the school.

"A good name is better than silver and gold," she said."Having said that, we are telling them we want to step aside but we have spent money in advertising, marketing and productions."

The Havard School, which was founded in 2010 and is based in Ascot House, North Third Street, says on its website it offers courses in business, computing, management, accountancy and travel, tourism and hospitality, mainly for overseas students.It would not reveal how many students it had, but said it had some in its UK classrooms plus overseas students online.

Dr Beloveth Powerful said: "My paternal grandfather's first name was Havard, so because I was so close to him before he died, I chose to immortalise his name."I never thought about Harvard in America, it has nothing to do with the name."

She said she was "taken aback" when the American university sent a letter in August 2012, saying the Milton Keynes school had infringed its copyright.

Harvard, based in Massachusetts, was this year ranked the world's number two university and counts eight US presidents, including Barack Obama, among its alumni.

The case will be heard in February.

Engine Explodes Mid-Air On Spirit Airlines From Dallas To Atlanta,145 People On Board

A Spirit Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing on Tuesday after an engine exploded and flames engulfed one side of the plane.

Passengers reported that the Airbus A319 was shaking for several minutes before they heard a loud bang and flames lit up one side of the aircraft.

The Spirit airline Flight 165 was going from Dallas to Atlanta when it suffered a mechanical failure about 20 minutes into the two-hour journey.

Frightened passengers began to call their families leaving final messages after the engine exploded.

Thick smoke began to pour into the cabin vents, making it difficult for the panicked passengers to see.

There were 145 passengers on board the Airbus A319 at the time of the emergency.

Fred Edwards who was on a business trip, said he feared the worst and immediately texted his wife and children: 'We're on fire, love you.'
