I'M ONLY 16!

Zara Hartshorn, from Rotherham, south Yorkshire, inherited this illness, which makes her skin appear wrinkled and twisted (left), from her mother Tracey. 

She has been through years of cruel taunts at school because of her looks. But she's only 16 she says. Among the names she has had to endure are 'monkey and 'granny'. Zara was even confused as a teacher and once made to get off a bus because she could not prove she was eligible for a child's ticket.

But thanks to pioneering facelift surgery in the US she has been given a huge boost of confidence (right). She has started a relationship with new boyfriend Ricky Andrews and plans to go to college to pursue her dream of opening a beauty salon.
