APPLE LAUNCHES "KILL SWITCH" TO RENDER STOLEN IPHONES USELESS TO THIEVES


Apple has announced the launching of 'kill switch', its new soft ware which will allow users deactivate their stolen handset, making them virtually useless to thieves,.

The announcement came at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference, where Apple CEO Tim Cook and other executives spoke about the new update.

All Smartphones are to be installed with a new 'kill switch', rendering them virtually useless to thieves who steal them. The new 'Find My Phone' app will allow users to deactivate their device online.Thieves can't turn off the GPS locator app or erase data

Apple has announced that the capability will be added as part of the latest iOS update due out in the autumn.
