Professor Omo Omoruyi, a former Director-General of Centre
for Democratic Studies and adviser to former military President, General
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has passed on. The Professor of Political Science
and former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin died on Sunday
after battling prostate cancer for years.
He passed on in a hospital in Benin, a month after he
returned from overseas where he had gone to receive medical treatment.
Professor Omoruyi was 73.
