Rafa Benitez plans to bring Chelsea's Fernando Torres to Napoli

Rafa Benitez now Napoli Manager has told Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli owner, that he would be glad if the serie A club could get Torres plus cash in exchange for Edison Cavani. The £53million Uruguay striker is top of Jose Mourinho's shopping list.

Napoli has confirmed the deal but only if the asking price is met.Chelsea regard that as too high, having had an opening of £40million enquiry rejected last week., but are hoewver prepared to exchange players.

Chelsea values Torres at about £30million and De Laurentiis rates the Spaniard at only £20million.

Unfair deal, you would say......or not

Manchester City have also dropped their pursuit of Cavani, the current hottest striker in Europe, leaving Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid as the 3 main pursuers.

Napoli, Edinson Cavani, Fernando, Chelsea, Mourinho

But Napoli are beginning to look at other suitable replacements like City's Edin Dzeko, Bayern Munich's Mario Gomez and possibly Torres.

I gathered though that Cavani will leave Napoli this summer.
