A great protest erupted in Jos, Nigeria yesterday when the
players and officials of Plateau United Feeder accused the centre referee of
not recording all the goals they allegedly scored during the game, saying they
scored 103 goals as against 79 recorded.
That’s not all (LOLZ)….
The game between Police Machine
FC of Adamawa and Babayaro FC of Gombe recorded another outrageous 67 goals in
favour of the home team.
Alhaji Musa Talle, the FCT Football Association (FA)
Chairman, described the 79-0 score-line between Plateau United Feeders and
Akurba FC of Nasarawa as a disgrace to Nigerian football.
Talle said that Nigerian football has entered into the
Guinness Book of Records in which a single match of 90 minutes produced such
scandalous result.
“This is a shame and disgrace as well as set back to the development of Nigerian football. I have never heard of it anywhere in the world that in a single match, 79 goals were scored. In fact, any institution or official found culpable should face the wrath of the law,” Talle said. The center referee and all 4 teams involved have been temporarily suspended pending further investigation by NFF
