Quick Fact: Did You Know?



The University of Alabama has ranked among the top 50 public universities in the nation in U.S. News and World Report’s annual college rankings for more than a decade. UA is ranked 32nd in the 2013 rankings.
The UA School of Law is ranked 29th in the nation in U.S. News and World Report’s 2013 edition of the annual “Best Graduate Schools” publication. And
UA is regularly ranked among the top 100 public universities in Kiplinger’s annual list of colleges and universities that combine “great academics and affordable tuition.”
Founded in 1831, The University of Alabama is the state’s first university.

In the 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions of U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges, LSU is ranked in the first tier for “Best National Universities."

LSU was one of only two universities in the nation in 2008 to produce the combination of a Truman Scholar, four Goldwater Scholars and a USA Today All-USA College Academic First Team member. In addition, four LSU students were also selected as Presidential Management Fellows – another nationally prestigious award.


Twenty- seven of the first 37 degrees granted by Clemson were in "mechanical-electrical engineering".They were awarded in 1986

On move-in day University employees and current students welcome new students by toting their luggage 
and other belongings to residence halls.
