Fela Anikulapo Kuti (born Olufela Olusegun Oludotun
Ransome-Kuti on the 15th of October 1938 and died on the 2nd
of August 1997 at age 58 was best known as Fela Anikulapo Kuti or simply Fela.
He was a
Nigerian multi-instrumentalist musician and composer, pioneer of Afrobeat
music, a human rights activist, and political maverick. Fela stood for his
people. More like a voice in the wilderness, he expressed to the world, the
suffering of the masses in Nigeria through his music.
Today we celebrate this great Icon. "16 years gone and your
